Enter the Absuria 2026 competition
Enter the Absuria Competition, the Abstract and Surrealist Photography Festival in Tours, to be among the nominees and have your work exhibited!
100 photographs have been selected to be exhibited as part of the ABSURIA Festival between May and September 2026. The exhibition venues are located throughout the city of Tours, capital of the Touraine region in France.
The nominees are also featured in the virtual galleries “The 2026 Nominees” on the ABSURIA website, in a 3D gallery and portfolio.
A physical and digital festival for maximum visibility
ABSURIA 2026 is the first fully physical and digital International Festival. The Festival aims to give maximum visibility to the nominated artists.
All nominees will receive a certificate.

Whether you are an amateur or a professional, submit your works to receive the 2026 Absuria Trophy for Abstraction or Surrealism in your category.
ABSURIA 2026 Special Prizes
This inaugural 2026 edition of ABSURIA is set to be a major event, with the presentation of three special awards. The festival’s institutional partner, the City of Tours, and its two major sponsors, Crédit Agricole and the Duthoo Group, will have the honour of presenting their respective awards, demonstrating their commitment to the festival.
Crédit Agricole de la Touraine et du Poitou will be presenting the Emerging Artist Award.
The Duthoo Group will present its ‘Jacques Duthoo’ Award in tribute to the artist from Tours.
The City of Tours will present the City of Tours Award at the awards ceremony.

Fourteen winners will be honoured in early May 2026 at the Awards Ceremony, which will take place at one of the prestigious venues in the city of Tours. Winners who are unable to attend will receive their awards by post.
